STEMpathy was co-founded by Omer Farhan and Ahmed Zeeshan, whose personal experiences shaped the organization’s mission. Omer, based in Pakistan, has long been committed to creating educational opportunities for underprivileged children in his home country, from Islamabad’s tent schools to community programs across the region. Ahmed, a Pakistani who spent several years living in China, witnessed firsthand the educational disparities that exist in both urban and rural contexts. Together, they combined their perspectives—Omer’s local insight and Ahmed’s international experience—to build STEMpathy, an organization that bridges gaps in STEM education, fosters curiosity, and empowers children across diverse communities. Their leadership is rooted in hands-on engagement, cultural understanding, and a belief that learning is strongest when it meets students where they are.
